To a New School Year! School Bag Distribution at Killi Abdul Wahid School in Quetta

The Hamoodur Rahman Foundation and its partners in Balochistan distributed school bags amongst students of the Killi Abdul Wahid school. Located in its namesake community on the Quetta-Sibi Road, it serves as the only community-run school for 250 families, with a student strength of 60. Killi Abdul Wahid school is HRF’s flagship Capacity-building project, and the organization has taken many initiatives in the school to provide a secure and comfortable environment to the children of this community.

Sewing Machines for Entrepreneurship

HRF is accepting donations to distribute 100 industrial quality sewing machines to empower women entrepreneurs from low-income households. Within its network of underserved communities in Lahore, the foundation has appointed team leaders who will nominate deserving women on pre-set criteria. By distributing these machines, HRF aims to support 100 women-led businesses within these localities which will not only equitize the gender ratio in professional tailoring but also bring collective neighbourhoods out of poverty by facilitating entrepreneurship efforts within them.
