Col. Hamedur Rahman

Chairperson, Board of Directors

Col. Hamedur Rahman serves as Chairperson of HRF and has previously been in military service with the Pakistan Army. He has diverse experience in human resource management and administration. A founding director of this organization, Col. Rahman has previously held various positions in public sector organizations which include Regional Director of the Ehtesab Commission of Pakistan, Consultant at Wafaqi Mohtasib, and Deputy General Manager HR at PASSCO.

Mr. Abrar Hamoodur Rahman

CEO and Director

Mr. Abrar Hamoodur Rahman is a social entrepreneur and has received his undergraduate education from Yale University. He is a founding director of HRF and currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of this foundation. Prior to this, he has worked in the education sector with Rahai on an honorary basis and taught 75 students in Lahore’s Juvenile Jail through their Punjab Board Examinations. Alongside this, he has also taught entrepreneurship to high school seniors in China.

Mr. Ataur Rahman

Secretary and Director

Secretary HRF, Mr. Ataur Rahman is a National University of Singapore graduate and an MBA from the University of Oxford. Alongside his role as the founding director of the Hamoodur Rahman Foundation, Mr. Rahman manages Dignosco Private Limited as its Chief Executive Officer. He has heralded micro projects for HRF with teams of volunteers across different regions of Pakistan, and has expertise in resource mobilization, investment analysis and education consultancy. Previously, he has worked as a Strategy Consultant with R Captial UK and as the Head of Investment Advisory with JS Investments Limited.

Dr. Salman Akbar Malik

Director

Dr. Salman Akbar is a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Glasgow. He has served as Professor (TTS) and Chairman of the Biochemistry department at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. An academic and researcher, Dr. Akbar is a life fellow of the Zoological Society of Pakistan. He is a founding director of the Hamoodur Rahman Foundation, and has previously worked as a consultant with USAID/EDC. Alongside this, he has conducted extensive research in biochemistry as a member of different academic councils and staff associations.
