Education

The socio-economic disparity between rural and urban areas of Pakistan is a consequence of differing education standards. HRF facilitates underserved schools in Pakistan through varying interventions in order to equip them with advanced facilities that match modern educational demands. While HRF welcomes all project proposals that require monetary and material support, its current educational interventions include the Computer Lab Project and the School Capacity-Building Project.

As part of its Computer Lab Project, the foundation equips remote schools with resources such as functioning computer labs and libraries through sourcing the latest technology ranging from computers, projectors, internet and power backup to stationery, books and other items, that give students from underrepresented communities a well-rounded education in-line with the top academic and professional advancements.

The School Capacity-Building Project intervenes in school that are in need of infrastructural and educational facilities within their premises. These projects include the construction of new wings, hygiene facilities such as plumbing and washrooms, dedicated recreational facilities and electrical, technical and hardware fixtures.

HRF is committed to long-term improvement in the standards of education, and bettering the student and staff experience within community-run schools. The foundation particularly focuses on community involvement in the facilitation process, whether it is in providing logistics and labour for construction, or playing a role in everyday operations such as providing meals and firewood. As part of this commitment to permanent improvement, the foundation also provides higher education scholarship awards to exceptional students from humble backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to study free-of-cost in the best educational institutions that the country has to offer.

At the moment, HRF has facilitated the following schools:
Killi Abdul Wahid school Quetta, Pakistan
Al Murtaza Public School Shigar, Skardu, Pakistan
Hunza Public School Hunza, Pakistan
Le Rosey Model School Shishkat, Pakistan
Nasir e Khusrow Model Academy Gulkin Village, Pakistan
